History

Interstate Food Processing Corporation joined forces with Lakeside Foods to form Peak Foods LLC in 2000. The Peak Foods plant is a state of the art processing facility in Troy, Ohio and the headquarters for the production of a full line of frozen whipped topping products.

The venture's efforts have been focused on chains and wholesaler's store brands as well as foodservice and industrial channels. Peak Foods is an established and successful company in the frozen corporate brands whipped topping category. Peak has also introduced truwhip, the first all-natural and 70% organic retail frozen whipped topping.

Peak Foods' facility, with additional processing space as well as adjacent company owned land, is poised for further expansion within the food processing industry.

Interstate Food Processing Corporation (IFPC) was established in 1981 to become the food processing subsidiary of Oppenheimer Companies, Inc (OCI). IFPC's mission is to produce high quality, value-added food products for OCI's established national base of retail and foodservice customers.

In addition to continuing to support the development of new markets for their products, IFPC continues to look for new opportunities in specialized areas of processing within the food industry.
